This Saturday at Brisbane’s Doomben Racecourse, the highly anticipated Kirks Doomben Cup Raceday will go ahead, as thousands of spectators head to the track to see the running of the headlining $500,000 Group 1 Doomben Cup (2020m).
A total of eight great races will see some fantastic horses take to the course, and due to jump just before 2pm is the Group 3 Doomben Roses (2020m) which sees a large field form the line up.

The three-year-old filly has won two of her last three starts, although did lose out most recently to fellow starter Femina Fashion in the Gold Coast Bracelet (1800m).
The Gold Coast-based Femina Fashion will have to overcome the wide barrier 21 in order to beat her rival once again this Saturday.
Italian Hippy and Pinpoint Accuracy could also be contenders having drawn barrier 2 and 3 respectively.
Peter Snowden-trained Status Quo is a strong runner over the longer distance, having proved herself twice in the past few weeks, and will start from barrier 8.
Also taking place at Doomben on Saturday is the Group 2 Champagne Classic (1200m), the Group 3 BTC Sprint (1350m) and the Group 3 Lord Mayor’s Cup (1615m).
