Arabian Gold was one of the most consistent fillies during the 2013 Spring Racing Carnival, winning the Listed Ethereal Stakes (2000m) after finishing second behind Guelph in the Group 2 Tea Rose Stakes (1400m), and found winning form during her 2014 Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival campaign.

The Dubawi filly made a slow start to his autumn preparation, but recorded an impressive victory in the Group 3 Adrian Knox Stakes (2000m) at Royal Randwick on April 12 before beating the colts in the Group 3 Frank Packer Stakes (2000m) at the same venue a fortnight later.

Arabian Gold has been included in the nominations for both the Group 1 Queensland Oaks (2400m) and Group 1 Queensland Derby (2400m) that will be run during the 2014 Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival and is rated one of the leading chances in both races.

Another filly taking winning form into the 2014 edition of The Roses is Rex Lipp-trained filly Tinto, who recorded her maiden win at Listed level with a strong performance in the Gold Coast Bracelet (1800m) on May 3.

Tinto is also on track to contest the Queensland Oaks at Eagle Farm on May 31 and will be making her debut at Group level in The Roses this weekend.

New Zealand-trained Chop Chop finished fifth behind Tinto in the Gold Coast Bracelet, but is set to be advantaged by the step-up to 2020 metres in The Roses on Saturday.

Chop Chop has formed around Australian Oaks winner Rising Romance and performed well in the Group 2 Sir Tristram Fillies Classic (2000m), Group 3 Little Avondale Lowland Stakes (2100m) and Group 1 New Zealand Oaks (2400m) in New Zealand before heading to Queensland.

New Zealand is set to have a strong hand in the 2014 The Roses field; with Kris Lees-trained Hera joining Chop Chop in the nominations for the Group 2 event.

Hera won the Eight Carat Classic (1600m) and the Sir Tristram Fillies Classic while prepared by Roger James in New Zealand was far from disgraced when making her Australian racing debut with a fourth place finish behind Estonian Princess, Northern Glory and Lady Lakshmi in the Group 3 JHB Carr Stakes (1400m) at Royal Randwick on April 26.

Asadauskaite, Cruz By, Miss Hufflepuff, Little Bit Ditsy and Snapcrackle are also among the 22 fillies that have been included in the nominations for The Roses.
