Ballet Suite posted an impressive win in the Listed Princess Stakes (2000m) at Doomben a fortnight ago and has been included in 2015 The Roses nominations.

Posting four wins and a minor through just eight career starts, Ballet Suite laid a great account for herself in taking out two consecutive minors upon returning to racing this time before a credible fourth in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m) on March 28th.

Unable to match the late pace when eighth in the Group 1 Australian Oaks (2400m) in what was her only other start prior to the Princess Stakes, Ballet Suite is the highest rated runner included in 2015 The Roses nominations.

Bohemian Lily boxed on for a close second in the Princess Stakes last time and is sure to take valuable condition from the run in The Roses.

Claiming two wins and three minors through nine starts, Bohemian Lily laid a great account of herself over six starts in her native New Zealand before transferring to the care of Gai Waterhouse earlier this year; including a credible fourth in the Group 2 Royal Stakes (2000m) on January 1st.

Placing second in the Drummond Golf Handicap (1600m) in her Australian debut on April 8th, the daughter of O’reilly charged home to win the Listed Gold Coast Bracelet (1800m) on April 25th.

Trainer Kris Lees is set to launch a two-pronged attack on the 2015 Doomben Roses after including Fitocracy and Kissed By The Sun in nominations.

Finishing outside the first three only a handful of times through her 13 career starts so far, Fitocracy jogged home to win the Group 3 Auraria Stakes (1800m) on April 18th, but failed to match the late pace of Delicacy when ninth in the Group 1 Australasian Oaks (2000m) last time out.

Sure to relish a step-back in class, the daughter of Denman looks likely to relish the Doomben conditions of Saturday.

Kissed By The Sun undoubtedly faces her biggest competitive task to date in the 2015 The Roses, but appears to be in the right form for a successful transition to black type racing.

Running second in the Carlton Mid Maiden Plate (1400m) on March 31st, Kissed By The Sun won each of the 2TM Maiden Plate (1600m) and Gloucester Park Cup (2018m) on her way to fifth in a Benchmark 65 Handicap race over 2080m last time out.

The 2015 Doomben Roses final field and barrier draw is due to be completed and released by midday, Wednesday.
