Ballet Suite ($2.50) won the key form-indicating Listed Princess Stakes over course and distance a fortnight ago and has maintained status as outright favourite in 2015 The Roses betting markets at Ladbrokes.com.au as a result, ahead of Group 1-winning kiwi Platinum Witness ($3.60) and Bohemian Lily ($6)

Will Ballet Suite continue her impressive run of form with success in The Roses, or will one of her talented rivals find the line in the clear?

1st

Bohemian Lily ($6)

Bohemian Lily ran on for a close second in the Princess Stakes two weeks ago, has been confirmed to be partnered by in-form hoop Blake Shinn and arguably offers punters the best value for money in 2015 Doomben Roses betting markets at current $6 odds for success. Posting several commendable results for Lance Noble in her native New Zealand upon debuting to racing in2014, the daughter of O’reilly ran second in her Australian debut over 1600m at Warwick Farm on April 8th; taking out the Listed Gold Coast Bracelet (1800m) in her only other start prior to the Princess Stakes.

2nd

Ballet Suite ($2.50)

An impressive performer in major Autumn Carnival races for fillies, Ballet Suite is sure to receive a gem of a ride from Kerrin McEvoy from the central barrier 8 and will be difficult to beat again in The Roses. Posting four wins and a minor over just eight career starts, the High Chaparral filly finished an impressive fourth in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m) on March 28th, and while failing to match the late pace in the Group 1 Australian Oaks (2400m), responded in the best way possible in the Princess Stakes.

3rd

Col ‘N’ Lil ($26)

The Doomben track looks likely to be rain affected on Saturday and will likely suit on-pace runners, of which Col ‘N’ Lil certainly comes into her own. Undoubtedly leading the charge of the local contingent, the Bradbury’s Luck filly won a Dalby minor over 1300m first-up on March 28th; progressing to second place finish finishes in each of the Calibre Consulting Plate (1630m) and Gold Coast Bracelet leading into a credible fourth in the Princess Stakes most recently.
